Wine and Spirits / A tempting twist on Chardonnay

The French have an old and odd saying: He who drinks only Meursault will never be a drunkard. Although that claim is probably unfounded, no one questions that the vineyards of Meursault, a large village in the Cote de Beaune district of Burgundy, produce some of the finest white wines in the world. Made entirely from Chardonnay grapes, Meursault wines differ from other wines of that variety, considering of its butterscotch and toffee flavors and stony minerals.
