Shavuot - Festival of Weeks and cheesecake!

Shavuot, the Festival of Weeks that follows Passover by seven weeks and commemorates the giving of the Torah to the Jewish people, has a wonderful tradition that dessert fanciers find irresistible - cheesecake!

Actually, it’s impossible to quote chapter and verse where cheesecake is recommended as this holiday’s top choice. But it is customary to eat dairy products on Shavuot for assorted reasons. Since cheesecake happens to be a universal favorite, it’s a tradition that’s here to stay.

Plain, chocolate, cherry, no-bake - The possibilities are endless.
