Saudi Arms Buildup (1988)
This Golden Oldie is from July 1988. Twenty years ago! …and of course the trend continues, with more sophisticated missiles and planes and advanced weaponry being acquired and the regional hunt for A-bombs becoming hot and heavy. Europe seems even more to be moving in the direction of blindness to the threat that it faces. * * * I used two old favorites of mine in that oldie. First is the “Good News, poor News” structure. Second is the use of King Solomon and his adviser.
