Rabbi literally means “teacher.

When you think of a Rabbi, you always think of a “holy man” someone that G-d ordained as leader of his people. A Rabbi must obtain a Juris Doctor of Law, and a PhD in social work and education plus a slew of extra-curricular classes in character development. “Only wise and understanding people are to be appointed to the Sanhedrin. They must be experts in Torah law, with a wide breadth of knowledge. A Rabbi must know secular subjects like medicine, mathematics, astrology, and astronomy. In order to be able to judge those who practice magic and idolatry a Rabbi must be familiar with enough knowledge to make the judgment.” The Rabbi possessing all this knowledge and wisdom chosen by G-d is a very humble servant but a great leader amongst the Jewish people. Then why not ask the Rabbi for help and instructions in certain matters that pertain in your life. He knows all the laws according to the Torah therefore, keeping kosher, are no problem for him. Our

teacher the Rabbi given to us by G-d for our help in a time of celebration and trouble deserves respect at all times. Blessed be the Rabbi for his understanding of the people whom G-d brought out of bondage and called his own.
