This is one very unusual sad story. A Jewish orthodox teen allegedly attempted to kidnap or assault a sixth grade girl. The spread reads that Bernard Mutterperl’s is accused of assaulting sixth-grader Xochil Garcia as she returned home last month with a Mother’s Day gift. The girl told authorities that Mutterperl grabbed her in the lobby of her apartment building and began dragging her away. I’m hoping there really is more to that story. that was not some 15 or 16 yr. old, that guy is 19. that is a

real chillul hashem and the parents had to post a $1 million dollars to get him released. that kid is looking at some serious duration as he was indicted for attempted kidnapping (upgraded from first- and second-degree illegal imprisonment), third-degree burglary and endangering the welfare of a child. I can only hope that parents will take that story seriously. I don’t know whether that kid was neglected as a child but assaulting a little girl would point toward some serious issues. Bernard’s lawyer responded to the charges as “hyped’. I certainly hope so.
