“KOSHER FOODS� As in all things in life we are taught by our mothers the proper way to do things and then we pass it down to our children. The more important the rule usually the stricter it will be kept. I know that our reasoning over the years also starts changing things even the strictest of rules. One of

my most favorite remarks made by rabbi/humorist Jack Moline in his book (Growing Up Jewish, 1987), “Everyone who keeps kosher will tell you that his version is the only correct version. Everyone else is either a fanatic or a heretic.�I am sure that all of us keeps kosher just as it should be done.

    I liked the post done on how our mom’s pass things down to us and that is how our customs keep going. Would be great as a mother’s day post too thanks dawn

    I like the article explaining how mom teaches us what we know. this is true for guys as well. All of us guys always believe that our moms are the best cooks, and they are the only “one’s” who know koshr best. Keep writing Shirley, Like to hear more. Ken
