Kosher Food = Kleaner Food

A lot of gentiles don’t understand what kosher food is all about. They think it’s just restrictive religious law, that it doesn’t matter and it’s just a waste of time. Well it isn’t! Kosher food is, to quote the title, “Kleaner Food. The food we Jews eat is more sanitary and it’s a lot safer. The handling of food, what you can and can’t eat, is strictly in place – and for good reason.

With all the sickness and disease in the world, one should take better treatment of themselves and consider what goes into their belly. Pigs? Forget about it! Birds of prey? Forget about it! That’s not what we should be eating. Those aren’t the right foods for humans. How do we know this though? Well after hundreds and thousands of years of the cultivation of knowledge and experience it has led us Jews to common sense about what’s good and what’s bad for our bodies.

It’s very scientific. It’s not just because G-d (Yahweh) said so! Really it’s not. There is sound reasoning and logic behind it. Why do you think we Jewish people are so fit and buff? It’s because we’re very keen on what goes into our mouths. No shellfish please! They carry and spread typhoid!

Okay, okay, it’s true! Part of the reason for kosher food is also for religion – morality.

We Jews believe in the benevolent treatment of all animals. They should be treated in a certain way before death. We should have respect for them. We shouldn’t throw the animals into a big blender and mash them up into chicken nuggets. That’s terribly wrong. Animals, if being eaten, should be killed in the most human way possible.

Kosher food is great. It tastes better, it’s more flavorful, and above all it’s healthier and safer. So the next time you swing by the Jewish district, stop into a restaurant and try out their food. You’ll be surprised how great chicken with G-d can truly taste.
