How difficult is it to keep “Kosher”?

Keeping “Kosher” in itself is not difficult to keep. All you need to do is make sure that you buy your foods from kosher butchers and buy kosher certified products at the market. Then all you need to think about is the separation of meat and dairy products. The real issue that makes keeping kosher difficult is the fact that the rest of the world does not keep kosher. Keeping kosher becomes difficult when you eat in a restaurant or at a friends home who does not keep kosher. This prevents a Jewish person from socializing with people of different religions, which is what the purpose of keeping kosher meant.
