Forgiveness and Psychological Disorders

I have bipolar disorder and have been on medication for 25 years. When I pass-on and my life is reviewed, how will any negative events that I caused be judged when some of those were due to my illness? For example, I may have offended someone with negative, foul language. However, generally, I’m a caring person who is usually willing to help someone out! There is a fundamental principle in the Torah that G-d only judges us based on our capacity. He demands nothing more and expects nothing less. An incapacitated person is judged according to his/her own capacity, just like a highly capable person judged according to his/her capacity.

With that said, it would invent sense to demand the forgiveness of anyone whom you may have offended whether they may not have understood that your action was unavoidable. In

that way, to the extent possible, you would keep your slate clean regarding others.
