Cholov Yisroel (Milk)

The observance of Cholov Yisroel is an ancient custom. A Jew person is required to be present from the time of milking to the time of bottling that will ensure that the milk is from “Kosher” animals. The purpose is to make sure that the milk kept separate from non-kosher animals. In the United States, our processing of milk and the federal law relating to the production of milk is very strict this makes it impossible for Bishul Yisroel a Jewish watcher of the preparation of “kosher” products available during the process. Orthodox Jews must accept any milk as “Kosher.”
