Blessing by Scent

What blessing is said by a scented candle?

The question of reciting a blessing on a scented candle is really tied to the question of whether or not we recite a blessing on a synthetically produced smell. Although some rule that a blessing of “Borei minei bisamim” [Blessed are You… Who formulates species of fragrances—translation from Artscroll Siddur] is recited on a pleasant smell that is artificially generated, most maintain that no blessing should be recited at all. The generally accepted practice is to follow that opinion and not invent any blessing on synthetic smells. Therefore, one should not recite a blessing on a scented candle no matter what the scent.

I hope that was helpful.
