Ahmadinejad and Nasrallah Meet in Damascus

Iranian President Ahmadinejad met with Hizbullah leader Nasrallah in Damascus on Thursday.
Ahmadinejad congratulated Nasrallah for the anniversary of Hizbullah’s “victory” in the Second Lebanon War.
In his meeting with Syrian President Assad, Ahmadinejad said that “Iran and Syria are allies and will remain allies.”
Asked about the possibility of another war

breaking out in the region, Ahmadinejad replied, “We hope the summer will bring victories to the region’s nations and failures to their enemies.”
He plus met in Damascus with Islamic Jihad Secretary-General Ramadan Shallah and is expected to meet with other leaders of Palestinian organizations, including Hamas politburo chief Khaled Mashaal.
